Stitch by stitch or the quick way to sew embroideries

As you may have noticed, we love all kinds of embroideries. For the latest issue we sketched a fancy Peacock applique for a regular home sewing machine. We sew it with zigzag and straight stitch and embellished it with the most beautiful buttons and pearls we found from our sewing box. You will find the design on the pattern sheet of the magazine. Sewing a Peacock freehand may take some time and effort but is worth of trying.

Good news for those of you, who own a embroidery machine - this will be fast and easy way to do it! We have just started cooperation with Claire Atwood of Stitch On Time. Claire digitized the Peacock applique and it is for sale on www.stitchontime.com There are two size options available:

Thank you Claire! We wish to continue cooperation with you also with other embroideries.

Let us do some good!

Our part of the money, which comes from sales of these Peacock embroideries, we will donate to support Plan's work. Plan works in 48 developing countries to promote child rights and lift millions of children out of poverty.

Founded over 70 years ago, Plan is one of the oldest and largest children's development organisations in the world. We work in 48 developing countries across Africa, Asia and the Americas to promote child rights and lift millions of children out of poverty. Plan works with more than 3,500,000 families and their communities each year. Plan is independent, with no religious, political or governmental affiliations.

Plan International: http://plan-international.org/

Whatever you give will make a difference. For example, just £8 could provide sight treatment – screening and glasses or medicine – for 2 children in Nepal.

Happy stitching and donating!
